Eoptolink provides a whole series SMPTE SFP transceivers
Eoptolink provides a whole series SMPTE Video SFP transceiver for 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI
EOPTOLINK (SZ: 300502) has released Digital Video SMPTE 3G, 6G and 12G transceiver/Transmitter/Receiver series.Fiber Optic Transport of HD/SD-SDI It is becoming increasingly necessary and economically feasible to transport UHD/HD-SDI signals over fiber instead of coaxial cable. The reasons are many including increased bandwidth, lower cabling cost, noise immunity and greater transmission distances.
Prior to 2006, several standards were used to define how SDI signals were to be transported over fiber. Now, there is one standard to define the many aspects and parameters of the fiber optic interface for the transmission and reception of SDI over fiber. SMPTE 297-2006: This standard defines the fiber optic interface for the transmission and reception of SDI signals at various data rates:

Ethernity Displays Carrier Ethernet Aggregation Switch Router on COTS Servers with Multiple FPGA SmartNICs Architecture at MWC2018
Meets demand for traffic aggregation and integration of Carrier Ethernet on NFV platform at the network edge
Stand 2K63, Hall 2, MWC2018, Barcelona, Spain – Ethernity Networks (AIM: ENET.L), a leading supplier of data processing technology on programmable logic for high-end carrier grade data processing offload, today demonstrated a scalable Carrier Ethernet aggregation Switch Router platform on a COTS server that utilizes OVS DPDK as a fabric between multiple ENET FPGA SmartNICs hosting multiple 10GE ports.
This unique implementation of the ENET Flow Processor offers cost-efficient Carrier Ethernet functionality in virtualised networks while maintaining the COTS nature of NFV environments. This overcomes the significant challenge that communications service providers (CSPs) face in achieving carrier-grade performance upon virtualisation of their network infrastructures. Ethernity’s solution provides SLA support, OAM, routing, multi-protocol interworking, and security that cannot be deployed efficiently with software-only implementations, while eliminating vendor lock-in.
Once Carrier Ethernet is integrated into the server with the ENET FPGA SmartNIC, the ENET Flow Processor can be used for VNF offloading, including vFW, vRouter, vBRAS, and vEPC, providing further gains in CPU efficiency and lower latency.
“Virtualisation of a network loses its value if the price of virtualisation is the loss of carrier-grade services,” said David Levi, CEO of Ethernity Networks. “At Ethernity, we resolve performance, security, and power consumption issues to provide the best of both telecom worlds – virtualised and traditional – with guaranteed quality of experience.”

Shenzhen TiCOMM Selects Ethernity Network’s FPGA-Based SD-WAN Platform
Ethernity’s FPGA SoC solution provides powerful, accelerated, cost effective SD-WAN and vCPE platform, ensuring high performance at reduced expense
Lod, Israel – Ethernity Networks (AIM: ENET.L), a leading supplier of data processing technology on programmable logic for high-end Carrier Ethernet applications and data processing offload, announced today that its low cost FPGA-based telco edge cloud platform has been selected by Shenzhen TiCOMM, a Chinese SD-WAN solution provider.
The innovative platform will be used as a combined Network Interface Device (NID) and SD-WAN gateway solution. The system-on-chip (SoC), featuring both an array of powerful ARM CPUs and an FPGA in a single, low-cost programmable platform, will be equipped with 10G interfaces, Carrier Ethernet functions, IPSec, and ARM processors for SD-WAN software. The platform can be packaged as a standalone device or can be installed as a SmartNIC on any standard server. The solution supports 10G IPSec and 20G Carrier Ethernet switching and routing throughput.
The solution will be jointly showcased by Ethernity and TiCOMM at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona between the 26th of February and the 1st of March 2018 at Hall 2 stand 2K63.
“Ethernity’s NIC-in-NID, powered by Ethernity’s ENET flow processing technology, is a natural match with TiCOMM’s SD-WAN solution architecture,” said Mr. Liu Yu, CEO of Shenzhen TiCOMM. “The performance and features fit the requirements of SD-WAN very well. Ethernity’s NIC-in-NID reduces the time-to-market of TiCOMM’s solution and improves our cost efficiency as well. It’s a very powerful solution enabler for TiCOMM.”
TiCOMM’s SD-WAN solution reduces WAN expenditures, improves the quality of interconnections, and extends coverage scope with a secure, simple, fast service. It provides a real-time view of the network, dynamic optimal path selection, and an intuitive OAM management interface. By using Ethernity’s FPGA- and ARM-based platform, TiCOMM will benefit from a low-cost, high-capacity, yet fully programmable solution compared to x86 servers, resulting in higher throughput and lower expenses. Nonetheless, the platform is still able to connect to external servers to access even greater computing resources through the embedded NIC function.

Ethernity Networks Demonstrates -- The Carrier Grade Switch and Traffic Aggregation Platform Running on COTS Servers in MWC2018Dear Sirs :
We would like to invite you to visit Ethernity Networks at MWC 2018.
At MWC 2018, Ethernity Networks Demonstrates -- The Carrier Grade Switch and Traffic Aggregation Platform Running on COTS Servers
Press Here to arrange the Live Demo!
Ethernity’s patented ENET technology resolves the challenges of carrier-grade performance in virtualized networks.
An architecture that attaches one or more All Programmable ACE-NICs via PCIe to a COTS server allows the integration of Carrier Ethernet MEF-compliant networking and routing, security and tunnelling offload into modern virtualized software platforms. The architecture provides a scalable data path up to 240Gbps and carrier-grade IP traffic aggregation, SLA support, OAM, routing, multi-protocol interworking, and security.
The solution is based on Ethernity’s All Programmable Intelligent NIC, equipped with a single FPGA performing the Carrier Ethernet networking functions and merging those functions with virtual networking functions running on the same server .
By merging the Carrier Ethernet functions with routing, tunnelling and security offload, Ethernity supports the trends associated with moving the cloud to the aggregation point.
Ethernity’s solution allows to utilise deployed servers as Ethernet aggregation platforms in conjunction with high performance vRouter, vBRAS, and vFirewall.
At Ethernity, we resolve performance, security, latency, and power consumption issues to provide the best of both telecom worlds: virtualized and traditional with guaranteed QoE.

Ataitec introduces In Situ De-Embedding (ISD)If you ever need to do TRL calibration, you will find AtaiTec’s patent-pending In Situ De-embedding (ISD) technique most useful. Compared to more than seven test coupons on a TRL calibration board, ISD needs only one through trace. TRL requires that the calibration board and DUT test fixture have identical characteristic impedance, which is an impossible feat to achieve. In addition, TRL does not remove coupling among lead-in traces. The result is that the S parameters of DUT after TRL calibration are almost always non-causal and are difficult to correlate with simulation. ISD addresses all of these issues with a very simple procedure: (a) measure the through trace test coupon (which only needs to have similar, but not identical, behavior as the DUT test fixture); (b) measure DUT + test fixture; and (c) run ISD software.
