Ethernity Networks was founded in 2004, and since then developed and delivered high-end network processing technology for Carrier Ethernet switching, including broadband access, mobile backhaul, Carrier Ethernet demarcation and data centers, targeting $2.5 billion network processing System-on-Chip market.

Ethernity Networks’ FPGA based networking SoC offers future proof product that can scale and support new networking features without a need to design new products, thus decreasing telecom operators’ CAPEX and OPEX. Advanced FPGA technology enables use of FPGA for mass deployment for telecom, Ethernet access, mobile backhaul and data centers.

Ethernity Networks delivers ENET series of innovative network processor SoC on FPGA/ ASIC, with hundreds of thousands of ENET devices deployed by global T-1/T-2 network operators. ENET SoC utilizes the patented unique single flow based processing engine to process any data unit in variable size, supporting up to 40 Gbps on low cost FPGA that competes in price with off-the-shelf ASSPs, and soon will release 200 Gbps solution.

Ethernity’s ENET multiservice SoC supports Carrier Ethernet switching and routing combined with integrated search engine, PWE, channel bonding, protocol interworking, CFM/OAM, timing, header compression and hierarchical traffic management. All features integrated into a single low cost FPGA that can compete with any of off-the-shelf components in price and functionality, and offers full programmability, customized interfaces, customized protocol and functionality of ASIC.

Furthermore, for a number of applications Ethernity offers customized ASICs that enable customers to gain 80% cost reduction compared to other ASIC offering in the market.

Ethernity’s main offering:

  • Delivers single platform that can be deployed in many products due to its inherent support for any interface, data unit, protocol and media, using the same software thus dramatically reducing the R&D expenses
  • Offers freedom of design, and enables OEM ability to come up with any needed networking functions, without dependency on ASIC vendors
  • Offers further cost reduction through integration of Ethernity’s SoC network processor IP into customized ASICs
