Ag7100

Silvertel have developed a 40W DC-DC boost converter, including isolation to meet the requirements of IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at. It is a perfect complement for Ag6100 in PSE designs. Designed as a wide ranging input module for nominally 12V to 24V, it generates an isolated and regulated 48V-57V DC output. This module is an ideal compact solution for generating the higher voltages needed for POE 802.3af and POE+ 802.3at PSE designs in POE applications. The small footprint and low cost modular design, with minimal external components required, mean it is well suited to any 12 or 24V to 48V boost circuit application. Ag7100 is typically used to generate the higher (48 to 57V) DC voltages required at the input to an Ag6100, and in this application would be connected as follows:
