Metanoia Unveils its MERLIN chipset for next Generation VDSL2 solutions 【Publish Date:2008-10-02】
October 02, 2008 –Metanoia Communications Inc., the leading broadband communications IC company in Taiwan, today announced its next generation VDSL2 chipset designed to service the global carriers’ broadband wire line market. The Merlin chipset is ITU G.993.2 compliant serving both central office (CO) and customer premise equipment (CPE) applications. It delivers over 200 Mbps aggregate bi-directional user data rates for applications such as High Definition IPTV and triple play (voice, video, and data). In addition, the Metanoia VDSL2 solution is interoperable with the Infineon VDSL2 chipset at this time. Ongoing efforts will ensure that the Metanoia chipset will interoperate with other VDSL vendors shortly.
