NVE Introduces World’s Fastest MSOP Isolators -- IL700-S

【Publish Date:2007-11-27】

IL700-S Series Isolators feature 150 Mbps data rate and 300 pS PWD

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.--November 27, 2006--NVE Corporation today announced the introduction of the IsoLoop(R) IL700S series of digital isolators, the world’s fastest Micro-Small Outline Package (MSOP) isolators.

“S” stands for speed, and the S-Series features best-in-class specifications: up to 150 megabits per second typical data rate, and a remarkable 300 picoseconds pulse width distortion.

The IL710S-1 single-channel and IL711S-1 and IL712S-1 dual-channel couplers are available in three millimeter by three millimeter eight pin MSOP packages. The new series is based on NVE’s patented (U.S. patent numbers 5,831,426; 6,300,617; and others) IsoLoop spintronic giant magnetoresistor technology.

Targeted at demanding applications, S-Series performance is specified over the full supply voltage range of 3 to 5.5 volts and temperature range of -40 to +100 degrees Celsius with no derating. Typical transient immunity is 30 kilovolts per microsecond.

NVE has the industry’s broadest line of high-performance isolators, including unique MSOP isolators. In addition to S-Series isolators, NVE’s unique IL600 line of passive-input, failsafe-output isolators are available in MSOPs.

NVE’s IL600 and IL700 Isolator lines are available in SOIC and PDIP packages as well as MSOPs. All NVE products are available in RoHS-compliant lead-free versions.

IL700S-Series Isolators are available now. Prices for the single-channel parts are $2.50 in 1,000 piece quantities, and two-channel parts are $4.05. Datasheets and more information on IsoLoop couplers are available at www.IsoLoop.com or www.nve.com.

NVE is a leader in the practical commercialization of spintronics, a nanotechnology that many experts believe represents the next generation of microelectronics. NVE licenses its MRAM intellectual property and sells spintronic sensors and couplers to revolutionize data sensing and transmission.
